ADDitions Volunteers

Parents and friends of Princeton can help our school through the OCPS ADDitions Volunteer Program. The OCPS ADDitions School Volunteer program began with 200 volunteers in 1971. In the 2018-2019 school year more than 58,745 volunteers contributed more than 1.7 million volunteer hours. This represents nearly $41.3 million worth of in-kind contributions donated to OCPS.

We are always looking for interested parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles who can provide a few hours of community service to our students. There are many opportunities to peak your interest. You might want to join us in the media center helping our students chose their next favorite author. Perhaps your skills in a foreign language can help a student struggle to learn your native tongue. We are always looking for professionals to spend the day with us on Teach-In in November where you can spread the word about your career and what our students need to be doing now to be marketable in the future. We encourage you to become involved.

Volunteers assist in various areas of the school through the ADDitions program. Anyone attending a field trip, working with a class party, assisting in the classroom or with events is a volunteer. All volunteers must have a completed an application on file with Orange County Public Schools and be approved. Also, if you have been an ADDitions volunteer in the past, please remember to update your application at the beginning of each school year.

The Princeton Elementary ADDitions volunteer program is coordinated by Mrs. Valdes and Mrs. Quill. Volunteers supplement the work of classroom teachers and staff by providing an extra pair of hands to help meet students' needs.

All volunteers must be approved before service to Princeton may begin. Approval process can take several weeks, so it's recommended that you apply as early as possible.
