Dear Parents & Guardians,

Welcome!  My name is Mrs. Thompson and I am excited to be your child’s art teacher.  I enjoy watching students grow in their creative expression and look forward to a fantastic year with them.

My background is in Elementary General Education and Interior Design. I am a graduate of Florida State University with a Bachelor of Interior Design and attended Valencia College for my professional teaching certification with a concentration in Elementary Art.  I have resided in the College Park area since 2006 with my husband, Joe, who is a College Park native.  My son and daughter both attend Princeton. In my spare time I am either at my children’s extracurricular activities such as Cub Scouts, gymnastics and baseball, or working on remodeling projects around my house.

Princeton students come to art once every 5 school days and are graded for participation during class as well as for their performance on each project.

Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you would like to volunteer in the art classroom or for an upcoming event or if you have any questions or suggestions for the academic year.
